Our VisionThat all citizens, when accused or convicted of a crime, for which they were in no way responsible, be provided an effective defense. It is the vision of Proving Innocence to provide experienced investigators to substantiate their claim of innocence. Mission StatementTo free people who are wrongfully accused or convicted and imprisoned for crimes they did not commit, by developing proofs to support their claims of actual innocence. Proving Innocence will complement the nation's innocence projects or defense counsel by: (1) funding investigators, (2) providing video documentaries of wrongful convictions, (3) supporting structural reform, and (4) helping exonerees connect with post-release services to facilitate their return to society.
