Lorinda Swain Released on Bond!Lorinda Swain has been granted a new trial by the same judge who sentenced her to 25 to 50 years based on a jury verdict over 8 years ago. Now, it is up the the Calhoun Country prosecutor's office. They can decide to do one of three things: 1) appeal the decision of Judge Sindt, 2) retry Lorinda, or 3) drop the case. The most rational decision would be to drop the case, since until now it has been based solely on the testimony of Ronnie Swain, who has since recanted and testified as such in this recent evidentiary hearing.
